Nutritional foods provide nutrients that organisms can metabolize into energy and chemical structures. A nutrient-dense diet can include a variety of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and healthy sources of protein. Here are some examples of nutritional foods:

  • Berries

    Low in calories and rich in vitamins and minerals, berries can be a good choice for weight loss.

  • Eggs

    A natural source of protein, vitamins, and minerals, eggs are also low in calories.

  • Kale

    A superfood that's high in vitamins A, B, C, and K, as well as minerals.

  • Spinach

    A nutrient-dense green superfood that's low in calories but high in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as folate.

  • Salmon

    An oily fish that's high in omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential nutrients that every cell in the body needs.

  • Seaweed

    Low in calories but high in micronutrients, including vitamins A, B, C, E, and K.

  • Chia seeds

    Contain nutrients like calcium, manganese, magnesium, and phosphorus.
